PM Hun Sen: Citizens Should Grow Veggies on Available Land at Home

(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen wrote on his Facebook page this evening, stating that people should not leave their land unused but they instead should grow vegetables for their families regardless of sizes.

“There is a proverb that says “active fingers, full stomach” which refers to the effort to grow crops. Available land should be used for planting. Small space is fit to plant herbs and lemongrass and for large space, we should grow vegetables, so we do not need to shop for what can be planted,” he wrote.

“Today, my wife and I harvest three crops among dozens of crops planted by her around the house,” he added.
