CMAA-Central Lancashire University to Sign MoU on Mine Action Cooperation

(Phnom Penh): H.E. Senior Minister Ly Thuch, 1st Vice-President of Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) on March 21, 2019, allow Dr. Darren Ansell, Space Science Professor and Lecturer at Central Lancashire University, and his associates to pay a courtesy visit and discuss work.

Dr. Darren Ansell reported to the Senior Minister on training of robot and drone skills to support mine clearance in Cambodia. He said he will work with the CMAA on training drone and robot technologies for mine action in the near future.

H.E. Senior Minister Ly Thuch, on behalf of Samdech Techo Hun Sen and on behalf of the Director of the CMAA, welcomed and expressed his delight to work with Central Lancashire University. Both institutions plan to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on mine action.
