(Phnom Penh): H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, suggested that the private sector to pay attention to Kampong Chhnang, a province with significant potential including waterways, railways, roads and new bridges across the Tonle Sap Lake and yet its airport has not been invested.
At the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding and co-financing agreement between UNDP and Chinese firm 4PX Express on the Cambodia Connect Project: Together Towards Digital Economy on Mar. 19, H.E. Sun Chanthol said that Kampong Chhnang has an airport, but now it is neither used nor developed.
At the same time, the Minister of Public Works and Transport has requested the development of the airport in Kampong Chhnang again, and he said that the Royal Government of Cambodia will facilitate the contract to develop the area, especially on re-building the airport.
