A well-known Cambodian heroine for petanque, Ke Leng, has been nominated for Athlete Of The Year 2018 by The International Games Association, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland for the best player world championship.
The International Games Association is hosting an online elections for the WORLD GAMES ATHLETE OF THE YEAR 2018 in which Cambodian petanque Ke Leng, who has won a number of world gold medalist, is one of the nominees.
Ke Leng holds three generations of world gold medalists (2013, 2015 and 2017), and in 2018 she won the TROPHÉE L ‘TEAM in France for women’s doubles and three-to-three.
For her fans who wish to vote they can vote every 24 hours. Only 10 applicants will go to the next round of the award by the first election, ending January 16 at 3 pm while voting for the final winner will continue until February 1 at 2 pm [local Cambodia time].
According to the International Games Association’s post, Ke Leng is a multiple World Champion in Boules Sport, Petanque.
Sar Sokha, secretary of state for Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, said that it was the great and honorable thing that the World Federation of Paralympics chose to recruit Ms. Ke Leng Cambodia to represent this sport stands to compete with 24 other types, this is proud of the most Cambodia has a world-class athlete.
